The Florida Housing Market – 10 Years of Price Appreciation

For the past 10 years Florida has one of the strongest residential housing markets of all 50 states.  One of the main reasons for the states staggering growth rate is the increase in population since the early 2000’s due to its warm weather, high quality of life, no income taxes and favorable business environment.

Currently Florida has population of more than 22 million residents, trailing only California and Texas in size.  With an anticipated 25 million residents by 2032, an increase in the housing stock is necessary for inventory levels to keep pace with demand.
